The Sustainable Seas Initiative was launched September 12, 2011 in the presence of HRH Crown Princess Victoria, godmother to the ship Tre Kronor af Stockholm.
The seminar was conducted in cooperation with Stockholm University, WWF, BSAG, Cargotec and Wärtsilä.

The exhibition "Baltic Sea - who cares..."
Ahead of this summer's sailing the Initiative developed an exhibition named "Baltic Sea - who cares ..."
The exhibition deals with littering and toxins in the Baltic Sea and was developed in collaboration with Stockholm University and the Keep Sweden Tidy.
Baltic Sea Waste Campaign
During the summer the Initiative collaborated with the Baltic Sea Waste Campaign in several ports in Sweden and in the Baltic. BSWC conducted junk dives and informed of debris and ghost nets in the Baltic sea.
